“Gambado”?
The English use the word, gambado, to describe that prankish leap that horses make when cold weather comes on. Not a buck because they’re mad, only a crow-hop cuz they’re feelin’ good! In English, it’s pronounced “gam • BAY • doe”. It originates in Spanish — the old Spanish word, gambada, meaning a kick; among Spanish horsemen these days, gambados are gaiters/leggings/half-chaps.
